Starting to contribute to MNE

Hello everyone,
I am Dhruv, a third year Computer Engineering undergrad from Mumbai, India. I am a data science and Machine learning enthusiast. I am interested in contributing to MNE (I am aware of python and C++) but am very new to Open Source. I have tried and built MNE development environment using the docs.
Now , Can anyone tell me or provide me with the resources of how to

  1. Understand the large codebase of MNE
  2. Which parts of the tutorials are essential to understand MNE and how to use the same (as the tutorials are a bit lengthy).
  3. Provide an issue (beginner friendly) so that I can get started.

I know that the doubt is silly and trivial. Apologies for the same and Thanks in advance :smiling_face:.
