Hello,
I have been trying to install MNE on my mac using the installer without success. The installer works fine until running package step, then it gives me a vague error message asking me to seek developers help. Would someone please guide me through it, or suggest a tutorial to install it manually? (I am not familiar with python or coding in general)

I won’t have time to look into this for at least a week or two, but maybe @larsoner has got some time to spare?
Could you please ensure you remove any existing MNE installation from your /Applications folder before running the installer?

Thank you for the quick response @richard . I have removed all MNE files from my laptop and then shut down, downloaded the installer again, and run it, but it failed again.

Could you please check if you have write permissions to /Users/hamadalali/.conda/environments.txt? Something seems to be going wrong when the installer tries to touch this file.
When I put this path in Terminal it tells me permission denied.
