I’m using “mne.viz.plot_topomap” for plot a topographic map as image.
Does it retain the spatial information and the relative distance between neighboring electrodes?
What is the difference with “mne.viz.plot_projs_topomap”?

I am not entirely sure what you are getting at, but yes.
mne.viz.plot_projs_topomap is for SSP projections, instead of the data.
