On what grounds can I determine the optimal or correct value or what is the criterion for doing so in processing eeg? Does it depend on what I am doing? I have seen in tutorials different values for eeg rejection criteria. For example I want the inverse solution to know the areas of the brain activated based on signal of eeg so for the epochs later used in covariance and inverse operator.
