In collaboration with MED-EL, we are seeking a highly motivated PhD student. This individual will contribute to a project in the field of auditory cognitive neuroscience, focusing on studies involving deaf individuals, both with and without Cochlear Implants (CIs). The project will be co-supervised by Nathan Weisz at the University of Salzburg and Konrad Schwarz at MED-EL (Objective Measures Research Team). The targeted start date is flexible, ranging from summer to autumn 2024.

The ideal candidate will be eager to apply MEG, EEG, or eye tracking technologies to explore research questions within deaf populations. While experience with these techniques is beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. Similarly, coding skills in Python, R, Matlab, or Julia are advantageous but not mandatory.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Nathan Weisz (nathan.weisz@plus.ac.at) with any questions or to submit applications. Applications should include a CV, a short motivation letter, and the contact information of two referees, and must be submitted by 30 April 2024.
