My name is Athish M, and I am a first-year B.E. Computer Science Engineering student from Coimbatore, India. I am very excited to apply for GSoC 2026!
I have been following MNE-Python’s work and am particularly interested in Project 4: Improve doc interactivity. I recently built and deployed a full-stack expense tracker using Python (Flask), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, so I am comfortable working with web-based interfaces and Python backends. Check out the live demo here : https://athish18.pythonanywhere.com
I am also currently enrolled in three NPTEL courses: “Python for Data Science,” “Programming and Data Structures using Python,” and “Algorithmic Graph Theory,” so I am actively sharpening my NumPy and DSA skills.
I would love to contribute to making the documentation more engaging for users. Could you please guide me on where I can find the current documentation repository or if there are any “Good First Issues” related to Sphinx or the website that I can look into?
Following up on my introduction, I have now completed my GSoC 2026 proposal draft for this project!
Since my last post, I also spent time getting familiar with the development workflow and successfully contributed to the mne.stats module (PR #13774). I used that hands-on experience to shape my project plan, focusing on:
Automated Validation:Building a Python tool to verify Binder/Colab links across all tutorials.
UX Improvements:Implementing “Copy to Clipboard” and interactive JS features.
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share that I have officially submitted my proposal through the GSoC portal. I am still very eager for any feedback or suggestions you might have before the final deadline tomorrow. Also, I’m ready to make any necessary adjustments to my proposal if needed. Thanks
