I have imported a raw data set and plotted a psd. There seems to be a high pass filter at work, but I haven’t done any filtering yet. I checked in EEGLab and there the issue doesn’t exist. What could be happening here?

What do these two figures show? In both figures, your frequency resolution is very low, so it is hard to see what is really going on.
Can you also show your code you used to import your data? MNE-Python does not apply any filters upon import, but some data files contain information related to a hardware filter, which MNE-Python then shows as a vertical line in the plots (but I don’t see it here).
If you want, you could also share your file together with your code so that we can reproduce the issue.
