Variable baseline-period for each epoch to make response-locked ERPs

Hi! I have made response-locked epochs. I want to use the pre-trial period as a baseline, but since the reaction time differs per epoch, the pre-trial period also changes.

Therefore my question: I was wondering whether it’s possible to set a different baseline period for each epoch individually, so I can set the baseline period based on the reaction time in that particular epoch. I could think of some “hacky” ways, but since making response-locked epochs is quite a common thing to do I was hoping that MNE has some nice function for this!

Hello, no, this is not possible. But you can try to find a time period that is suitable as a baseline for all epochs. This is what we do in this tutorial, where we also time-lock on the response event:
