Source localization with only resting state EEG data

Hey! MNE users,

I have only raw EEG data (for example, edf file). I do not have positioning device to measure x,y,z positon of each EEG sensor (ex, polmus) and I also do not have structural MRI.

If I only measured resting state EEG data for 5 min, in this case I do not have events. With only raw EEG data, is it possible to do source localization with MNE. On brain map, I would like to plot which area is activated. About this application, do you have any example python code?

Best,
Kyu

The answer is given already in your other recent question: there is a tutorial on using template MRIs for source localization.
