The goal of this project is to characterize and model the gating of sensory information in the visual cortex as a function of selective attention. To this end, state of the art EEG methods will be used in adult participants (in combination with psychophysics), and mathematical models able to estimate and model information’s flow in the visual cortex (such as Dynamic Causal Modeling) will be harnessed. This project is led by Prof. Gilles Pourtois and Prof. Daniele Marinazzo.
