in the mne coregistration gui.

There is no option to do this currently, but afterward you can use
plot_alignment to view the helmet.

In principle we could add it if it would be useful for people, feel free to
open an issue on GitHub.

Yes, I think it could be useful mainly if you have manually adjust
the coregistration.
