Ideas on simple metric for PSD comparison between data sets

Hello!
We are developing a pipeline for MEG data quality control. We use PSD to find potential artifacts due to environmental factors such as power line noise, train power line noise, construction work close by, etc…
We would like to produce simple (preferably one digit) output showing how severely the data is affected by such noise. We want to make the data sets comparable on base of this metric. This is why we would like to keep it simple and not compare the whole PSDs against each other.
What would be your suggestion on what this output could look like? (Would it be the number of noisy frequencies or some quantification of their severity or something different?).

We are looking forward to any kinds of suggestions!
Evgeniia and Aaron.

hi

maybe look at The Riemannian Potato Field: A Tool for Online Signal Quality Index of EEG - Archive ouverte HAL

it is available in pyriemann pyriemann.clustering.Potato — pyRiemann 0.3.1.dev documentation
