Hey all, I’m Krishna and I am a high school student in California very deep into neurotech! I am an ML engineer at Vistim Labs (neurodegeneration estimation from EEG) and am part-time at UC Davis focusing on spike sorting and neural manifold analysis from intracortical spiking data.
Recently, I’ve been quite interested in developing an open-source dev tool project for BCI/EEG. I have some ideas (huggingface for neural foundation models + pipeline builder that wraps sklearn ml with mne) but wasn’t sure what to build! I also was curious why libraries exist like neuropype/braindecode, but in my experience I haven’t seen anyone use these tools. Its strictly just MNE + SciPy + Scikit-learn + EEGLAB. But then again, I am quite early on in my career ![]()
Would love some perspectives about the feasibility of creating an EEG dev tool in the space or even a short chat (you can email me at krishnamalhotra150@gmail.com) would be super helpful. Thanks!
