I am performing source reconstruction on EEG data, and for this I need to calculate the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) to apply the inverse for the eLORETA method. I have a baseline measurement of 3 minutes, and alternating 1 minute blocks of tACS stimulation and EEG measurements.
To calculate the SNR of these 1 minute EEG measurements, I plan to use the 3 minute baseline as ‘noise’ and the 1 minute measurement for the signal part of the equation.
But, I am having some trouble in calculating the SNR for the baseline measurement, since there is no measurement to use for the ‘noise’ part.
Do you have any idea how to solve this issue? I tried to find a standard value for the SNR value in the documentation, but was unable to find something. Do you know what to fill in?
I also thought of splitting the 3 minute baseline measurement into 3 1 minute epochs, and using two of them for the ‘noise’ and ‘signal’.
