Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Tokyo (www.sonycsl.co.jp) is pleased to offer 1-2 internships to begin in Spring 2025 on developing real-time EEG systems for music recommendation.
We are inviting PhD students (or exceptional master students) with a solid background in EEG and machine learning to join our team of researchers and engineers in the Music Excellence Project (www.neuropiano.org/mep/en) towards developing real-time neural-based music recommendation systems.
Requirements:
- experience in EEG data processing and analysis
- experience in machine learning
- programming experience in Python
- experience in designing and conducting auditory-related neuroscience experiments using EEG
Desired:
- experience in BCI/real-time EEG
- experience in music neuroscience research
The internship will last for 12 weeks and will take place at Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Tokyo, Japan. Please note that the working language is English and no prior knowledge of Japanese is assumed.
