External Email - Use Caution Dear experts: I have had this error before but I don?t understand why it doesn?t apply to this problem. I attach two screenshots of the error and the code. I simply read an edf format file my version of mne is 0.20. The probable solution is stim\_channel=None in events and in read raw or in one of them but none seems to work. Although with .bdf it does with edf it doesn?t. Sincerely, Andrade. External Email - Use Caution You cannot use `mne.find_events` if your file does not have a stim channel. We somewhat recently changed to having event-type information stored in raw.annotations, so you probably need to use events\_from\_annotations \<[https://mne.tools/dev/generated/mne.events\_from\_annotations.html>\](https://mne.tools/dev/generated/mne.events_from_annotations.html>%5C).
