With mne how can we make our own sensor montage (sensor size, distance, orientaion)?

Hi,

Yes, but there is no example of creating new channel file,  
do you mean I should create script outside mne inorder  
to put my own channel position and orientation then  
return back to mne, if no, can you please give more  
explanation how,?

MEG channels are defined by integration points with locations and  
orientations.  
MNE uses coil\_def.dat file to define such things and then chs loc key in  
python  
tells you how to rotate and translate each coil to have it in 3D.

it's not just a channel file.
