If 0.5 Hz is your minimum frequency of interest, then I agree. epochs.compute_psd(method="welch", n_fft=int(4*epochs.info["sfreq"])) Those arguments are a number of samples and expect an integer. The multiplication with the sampling frequency returns a float.
