Mauricio,
Did you set `eog=True` in the arguments to `mne.fiff.pick_types` i.e.,

picks=mne.fiff.pick\_types(info, meg=False, eeg=True, stim=False, eog=True,
exclude=[])

If the picks array is built without your channels of interest then
mne.Epochs will throw the error you're seeing c.f. epoching example (
[http://martinos.org/mne/stable/auto\_examples/plot\_from\_raw\_to\_multiple\_epochs\_to\_evoked.html](http://martinos.org/mne/stable/auto_examples/plot_from_raw_to_multiple_epochs_to_evoked.html)
).

best,
Kambiz

The other possible scenario is that you need to change the sensor
type. This has been available in the latest code for ~ 1 month with
the mne.rename\_channels function.

Hi!
Thanks for your answers.

Efectively I set "eog = True".
Would I have to set, when I read the raw edt, n\_eeg to another value
instead of None?
Currently I'm doing that by

raw = read\_raw\_edf(input\_fname = bdf\_file, n\_eeg = None, stim\_channel = -1,
annot = None, annotmap = None, hpts = hpts\_file, preload = False, verbose =
None)

On the other hand, I cannot find the documentation for mne.rename\_channels.
Could you tell me what do I have to do, more specifically, with this
function?

All the best,
Mauricio.

hi Mauricio,

> On the other hand, I cannot find the documentation for mne.rename\_channels.
> Could you tell me what do I have to do, more specifically, with this
> function?

it's not released yet. You'll need to install the latest version on github.

code of the function is at:

[https://github.com/mne-tools/mne-python/blob/master/mne/fiff/channels.py#L190](https://github.com/mne-tools/mne-python/blob/master/mne/fiff/channels.py#L190)

then the function is just accessible with

mne.rename\_channels
