Hi All,
I have an eeglab epoched EEG dataset that I would like to analyze
using MNE. I can export my eeglab \*.set file as a \*.EDF file and
convert it to fif using mne\_edf2fiff easily enough. I changed channel
names, trigger to STI 014. I can also make an event.txt file. However,
when I load the fif file into mne\_browse\_raw I get no data and no
channels displayed (same if I load it into mne\_analyze). The time
information displayed in mne\_browse\_raw is correct, and the event list
shows the events just fine. Just no data. I can load the fif file into
matlab using fiff\_setup\_read\_raw and fiff\_read\_raw\_segment and the
data looks fine in matlab. Same thing happens when it is an un-epoched
file.

I have two questions:
1. Am I doing it wrong with mne\_browse\_raw? If so, does anyone have
any suggestions. I've copied what is sent to the terminal when I load
the fif file below.

2. Given that I can read the file in fine, I should be able to write
it out using fiff\_write\_int, correct? I tried using
mne\_ex\_read\_write\_raw to read/write the file to see if that would make
something mne\_browse\_raw would like. It made a data file just fine,
but still nada.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Hi James,

Did you try loading a channel layout from the Adjust menu? In the past I
had a similar experience as you (imported data successfully but couldn't
see it in mne\_browse\_raw), and it turned out I just had to choose a channel
layout for viewing.

Best,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the tip. I just hit Adjust -\>Selection-\>Add... and could
add my channels. Worked like a charm.
best,
Jim
